What is a M3 screw?
It is a small machine screw that fits into a 3mm hole. That is: if you drill a 3mm hole (imperial drill equivalent: 1/8) into a metal sheet then this is the exact right size for the thread of the screw to slide through. It corresponds to a #4 screw in the American/US non metric system.
